Restoring hope, rebuilding futures, and walking alongside men on the path to second chances in North Dallas County.
Brother's Keeper is Alpha Phi Alpha's national initiative dedicated to the mentorship and reintegration of men who have been impacted by the criminal justice system. The program reflects the fraternity's deep commitment to social justice and its belief that every man โ regardless of his past โ deserves a pathway to dignity, stability, and purpose. Alpha men serve as guides, advocates, and brothers to those navigating reentry into society.
Xi Tau Lambda Chapter implements Brother's Keeper in partnership with reentry organizations, workforce development agencies, and correctional institutions serving the North Dallas region. Our brothers provide one-on-one mentorship, lead workshops on financial literacy, employment readiness, and life skills, and connect participants to community resources including housing referrals, legal aid, and job placement assistance.
We understand that reentry is not a single event โ it is a journey that requires sustained support, community, and brotherhood. Xi Tau Lambda is committed to being present for that journey. Every man who walks through our program finds brothers who believe in his capacity to rebuild and contribute to the North Dallas community.
Resume writing, interview skills, job search strategies, and connections to local employers committed to second-chance hiring.
