Empowering North Dallas communities through voter education, registration, and civic participation.
Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. launched "A Voteless People Is a Hopeless People" in 1990 as a national civic engagement initiative. Rooted in the Civil Rights legacy of Alpha brothers such as Thurgood Marshall, W.E.B. Du Bois, and Martin Luther King Jr., the program recognizes that the ballot is one of the most powerful tools for community advancement. The campaign reflects Alpha's enduring commitment to ensuring that every citizen, particularly African Americans and underrepresented communities, exercises their right to vote.
Xi Tau Lambda Chapter carries this mandate into North Dallas County. Our brothers partner with local schools, faith communities, and civic organizations to host voter registration drives, conduct know-your-rights workshops, and mobilize voters during local, state, and national elections. We believe civic literacy is foundational to generational progress.
Since its launch, Xi Tau Lambda's voter engagement initiatives have reached thousands of North Dallas residents. Our brothers show up at community events, college campuses, and neighborhood centers — registering voters, distributing information on candidates and ballot measures, and encouraging early and absentee voting participation.
On-site registration drives at schools, churches, and community events throughout the year.
Workshops on candidates, ballot measures, election procedures, and voter rights.
Coordinated get-out-the-vote efforts during every major election cycle.
Collaborative relationships with school districts, faith organizations, and community nonprofits.
Whether you need to register, update your registration, or learn about upcoming ballot measures, Xi Tau Lambda Chapter is here to help. Join us in honoring the legacy of those who fought for the right to vote.
