Education Is the Path Forward

Established as one of Alpha Phi Alpha's cornerstone programs, Go-to-High School, Go-to-College was created to combat dropout rates and expand access to higher education for African American youth. The program began in the early 20th century under Alpha's founding conviction that education is the great equalizer — and that fraternity men have a duty to open doors for those coming behind them.

Xi Tau Lambda Chapter has been executing this program in North Dallas County for decades. Our brothers partner with McKinney Independent School District and surrounding districts to deliver college readiness workshops, assist with college applications and financial aid guidance, and provide mentorship to students who may be the first in their families to pursue higher education.

Our chapter connects brothers with students at middle schools and high schools across North Dallas. Through one-on-one mentorship, group sessions, and campus visits to area universities, we plant the seed early: college is not only possible — it is expected.
