The Leadership Development Institute (LDI) is Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity's structured leadership education program, designed to develop the intellectual, organizational, and service capacity of fraternity members and community leaders alike. LDI equips participants with the tools to lead effectively in their chapters, their professions, and their communities — at the local, regional, and national level.
Rooted in Alpha's foundational belief that scholarship and service must be matched by capable, principled leadership, LDI addresses a simple truth: good intentions are not enough. The men who change communities are those who couple their commitment to service with the skills to organize, communicate, advocate, and execute. LDI is where that transformation happens.
Xi Tau Lambda Chapter participates in and promotes LDI programming at the district and national level, and delivers chapter-level leadership development sessions throughout the year.
